highlights magazine and national magazine exchange

Jun 17, 2008 National Magazine Exchange complaint |
|
|
Highlights Magazine sold my seven year old daughter's name to American List Council who sold it to National Magazine Exchange.
I just received a $2,100,000 sweepstakes entry addressed to her. I 'googled' the sender (National Magazine Exchange) and found their name on this site and many others outing them as an unscrupulous company -- as if the sweepstakes offer didn't say that already.
I thought immediately of Highlights because we just received one in the mail.
Come on! HIGHLIGHTS! I expect better.
The worst is that you sign up for these through school and they've been around FOREVER, so you assume that they are a reputable company.
With so much identity theft these days you can never be too careful.
I did just call them and they promised not to sell her or my name to anyone else. We'll see!
